"The Hydrangea"

I planted this hydrangea six years ago- a small little thing with a couple of leaves and the promise of a few blooms. It seems it must have grown exponentially each year, but I don't think I realized just how much it had gotten until recently.
When I looked out the window one evening and saw the blooms dazzling in raindrops and sunlight after a day of storms, it seemed the most beautiful it had ever been, and I knew I had to capture it.
It was bedtime and the girls were in their pajamas. While I've been trying to keep this project more documentary, "Mermaid for Life" emblazoned across a pink and white striped nightgown just wasn't going to do my hydrangea justice. Sooo...
I grabbed a dress from the closet, ran a brush through Rory's hair as quickly as I could, and sent her out to dance amongst the flowers.
Check out what all of the other talented mommas and littles were up to this week!
